I've never had my period, but my doctor is trying to start it. My doctor said this is the most she can prescribe me a day. He didn't reply to my comment.

I still find it amazing that so many people place so much trust in the knowledge and judgement of doctors. Over the past 30 years I have known perhaps 5 people possessing an MD degree who truly understood that each person is different in every way (overall body chemistry; specific body chemistry factors — and there are far, far more than than they learned in medical school and far, far more that may occur in some people but not in others; none of us is a textbook example — if we were, why do some people develop Type II diabetes (or insulin resistance, or whatever term is used in an individual, as the syndrome may be caused by many things or any combinations thereof), while others who fit the profile perfectly (high saccharide intake, obesity, etc, etc, etc) never do. Medicine, particularly w/regard to emotions (a WIDE field, esp. from a biochemical point of view, and always growing with each new finding), is not merely a “science” in the traditional way most use the word. (The white coat began to connote the doctor as a “man of science”. [1][2] The word essentially means “to know”, “to acquire knowledge” (and on and on). Is anyone the same as others or fit a pattern of “established, accepted” knowledge? Consider this, 10 years ago it was believed that HDL cholesterol in the bloodstream played a role in diminishing the effects of LDL cholesterol. Your blood tests may still list the ratio, but I’ve met no physicians (none I respect, at any rate) who believe there is any connection whatsoever. (Ask a doctor you know, for example, if they know that cholesterols — the LDLs, VLDLs, VVLDLs, HDLs — are all precursors for the production of steroidal hormones.
